When it comes to federal benefits, marriage is mixed bag

Two couples got married at City Hall in San Francisco on Saturday. On Sunday, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy denied a request from Proposition 8 supporters in California to halt the issuance of same-sex marriage licenses.
