Rick Perry Breaks With Ted Cruz, Calls Federal Shutdown 'Nonsensical'

In an interview with ABC News last week , Texas Gov. Rick Perry called the idea of shutting down the government if Obamacare is not defunded "nonsensical" - staking out a position in stark contrast to fellow Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, who concluded a more than 21-hour protest speech over that very issue on the Senate floor on Wednesday.
