FDA Proposes New Study on Fortified Foods; Agency Concerned Industry Misleading Consumers

The US Food and Drug Administration submitted to the White House's Office of Management and Budget the required paperwork to launch a study into whether artificially adding vitamins to snack foods and carbonated drinks causes consumers to believe that substituting them for more nutritious foods ensures a healthier diet.
