FDA says no to Oxycontin generics

On Tuesday, April 16th the Food and Drug Administration said that officials have determined benefits of the original OxyContin no longer outweigh the risks, and they will not accept or approve new generic drug applications that rely on the approval of the original Oxycontin drug.
